Originally from Minnesota, Julie’s passion for hair stems from fine art, architecture design, fashion and music, and is grounded in her rigorous training. Her first two ventures were a destination for beauty in Nolita. She’s now thrilled to bring Joon Drop to the best block in Two Bridges, where she continues to live her dream of doing what she loves in her favorite city.

Born and raised a California native, Jordy started her career in the beauty industry in 2011. Having trained in one of the top salons in San Francisco under the guidance of the Lead Color Director, Jordy perfected her signature color aesthetic which can best be described as: lived in, light, airy, and effortless.
After moving to New York City in 2017, Jordy began the next chapter in her hair story. Inspired by the street style and individuality of New Yorkers, Jordy began taking hair cutting classes at Bumble & bumble. Soon she discovered her love for cutting mullets, shags, bobs, and how to create the perfect invisible layers for her long hair girlies.
Rounding out as a multifaceted talent, Jordy has worked on the prestigious NYFW, Australian Fashion Week, commercial campaigns for brands like Nike and Jordan, and editorial campaigns for Terminal 27 and Dover StreetMarket.
Working as a bicoastal stylist; her main home is in Los Angeles, and she continues to travel to New York and San Francisco to see her wonderful clients.

Luke is the official salon dog of Joon Drop, and the most handsome man on the block. Originally living as a homeless pup in Georgia he was brought to New York and adopted by Julie and her family in May, bringing tons of Labrador energy, tail-wagging and gentle cuddles to everyone he meets.
He loves people and other dogs, and everyone is impressed by his good manners and ultra-friendly, curious personality. When Mom says “heel,” he’s automatically by her side!
